We give careful consideration to each client's needs and vision for their home and thoughtfully weave them into our elemental, minimalist and sustainable designs. In every building we look to use a balance of natural and durable materials to create a simple design with texture rich spaces within, while considering the environmental surroundings to provide a warm energy efficient home. It is this thoughtful consideration that allows us to create unique, inspiring spaces that resonate with the people who live within them.

Raised in Montana, Doug grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the rocky mountains. The scenery may have changed but the natural beauty remained when he moved to New Zealand nearly 20 years ago.

Doug graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelors of Architecture. Following on from University Doug worked for an architecture firm in Bozeman creating distinctive homes within the landscape for their owners. Moving to New Zealand, he found himself drawn back to the mountains and settled in Wanaka. While in Wanaka he worked on a range of projects from small residential to commercial buildings.

Balancing work / life ratio Doug has enjoyed participating in both team and club sports. When not training for one event or another he will be out walking his dog on the local trails.
